2024 NFL Draft Round 1 Review

 

Alright, now for the Round 1 draft review. Last year was ok, I had some bad ones like Gibbs, but Swift hadn't been traded yet so its not too bad. Anyways 2024 Round 1, here we go.

The Bears get their guy they have wanted ever since the Panthers were locked to have the worst record. We all knew this was coming. Hopefully he isn't a bust.

Grade: S

The Commanders get the guy they have also been linked to. I'm not sure he wants to be there, but here we are. We will have to wait and see if he causes attitude issues or not.

Grade: S

Patriots stick and grab Maye. Perfect pick. They tried to get some team to pay way to much for the #3 pick and 3 mins into the pick they just said f it and grabbed their franchise QB

Cardinals needed WR. MHJ is the best player in the draft. Nothing much else to say about the pick

Grade: S+

Generational O-Line talent to protect Herbert so he can throw to...... Who? WR was better here in my opinion but maybe Harbaugh is cooking. He doesn't like passing the ball anyways so who knows.

Could have went QB, but also needed a WR. I think WR is better for them here. It's a long shot but maybe Danny Dimes and put together a good season or 2 again...

Didn't get who they wanted, but got the big boy from bama. Filled a big need in a offense will huge potential.

Two words about the Bears after this draft. Watch out.

Vikings got their guy AND kept their other 1st rounder

Jets get a guy to help out A-Rodge. Hopefully they bounce back.

Picked way too high, however they did address a need.

Grade: C

Raiders had OTs, CBs, and EDGEs available here and pick....TE???????? Right after taking Meyer??

Grade: C (He is the best TE in the draft)

Saints get a steal here. Help out Carr who was getting killed last year.

Grade: A

Best rusher in the draft passes his physical then falls to you at #15?

Seahawks cannot help themselves from drafting DEF every single year. Good player, but Geno will be under siege again,,,

MIN trades up and gets a Top 10 draft talent at 17. Let Kwesi cook.

More edge rushers falling. No reason the Rams should have had him available to pick.

I'd argue they needed WR more. Still a great pick

These elite CBs were falling down the board and DET really needed one and got maybe the best one in the class.
